The interview (continued)

Question 4: I had read about your experiences with the Nevada Wolfpack. I believe I’d even read that at one point, you were holding down two jobs, attending classes, and practicing playing for the team. Is that correct? How did you manage your time and schedule with so many demands pulling you in different directions?

That is correct, but not at Nevada. I was working two jobs, practicing, and going to school full time while in Junior college. At American River College in Sacramento CA. It was a hard schedule to manage, but I made it work. Not because I needed to, but I just always liked to stay busy and still do. Just came down to discipline really, and making sure everything was scheduled the right way so that I could do all that at one time.

Question 5: What is a typical daily or weekly workout routine for you?

My weekly workout routine consists of six days. My daily routine starts by going to the gym and doing my lifts and cardio. Then going to the field and doing either drill work or actual kicking work. Depending on the day. As every day is a little different so that I am not overdoing my body. Followed by stretching for a minimum of half-hour a day to stay mobile and flexible.

Question 6: The information shared with your experiences with the LA Rams is that you have had two ‘tryouts’ with the team so far. The first was a predraft visit. The second was more recent – occurring in early June. Can you walk us through either or both events? I.E. Did the team fly you in, have you punt or kick for an hour, and then ship you back? Or did you have several days to meet with Rams’ staff and coaches, have a chance to interact with players, and have various opportunities on the practice field to showcase your stuff?

So the first visit was a private workout, pre-draft. In which they put me through a whole chart and different scenarios. Which went really well. This most recent tryout was at the Rams facility. They did fly me out for 3 days, practiced with the whole team for a couple of days, and I was really able to get some good work in with them, and the coaches. Gave me the opportunity to interact with all the players which was a really cool experience, while also getting to compete against them. Throughout those days I was able to showcase my talent. While getting feedback and coaching from the coaches.

Question 7: I don’t want to jinx you, but how did you feel about your performance after each tryout?

After both tryouts, I felt that my performance was overall good. I also got some encouraging feedback which is always good to get.

Question 8: Without naming NFL teams, have you been getting other invitations or signs of interest from other teams?

There has been a little interest around. Just a big waiting game in this industry.

Question 9: What is the one aspect of your game that you are most interested in improving? Accuracy? Hang time? Or distance?

In my mind, there is always room for improvement in all aspects. As of right now just trying to improve the hang a little bit more, because you can never have enough hang. The more the better.
