Professional athletes are a rare combination of skill, tenacity, and motivation. For the LA Rams, wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is all those things, and more.

OBJ remains a threat for opposing teams, especially those in the NFC West, and he has a message for all the doubters. The star wide receiver was injured in the first half of the LA Rams’ Super Bowl LVI victory over the Cincinnati Bengals. Beckham Jr. suffered a torn ACL during the game.

As much as the LA Rams would love to have OBJ back on the field in 2022, an injury like the kind he had last season will be a tall hurdle to overcome. Nonetheless, he is committed to getting back in the starting lineup after his knee is surgically repaired.

Unfortunately for Beckham Jr., his ACL tear is the second of his career. His corrective surgery provided an opportunity to correct what was a less than satisfactory procedure from the last time he was down this road, his surgeon reported after the operation. Beckham had suffered a previous ACL injury in his left knee in October 2020. That injury ended his season, and the recovery was never complete.

Mid-season marvel

Because he signed on with the LA Rams mid-season,  OBJ was only available for eight games in 2021. Despite the late arrival, his production for the Rams was solid. He had 27 catches for 305 yards and five touchdowns. His contribution helped head coach Sean McVay and the entire team earn a Lombardi Trophy.

Those who underestimate Odell Beckham Jr. do so at their own risk. When healthy, the damage he can cause an opposing defense is significant. His history in the NFL indicates such. In a recent tweet from July 12, 2022, the Rams wide receiver offered a reminder to those who have doubts.

The LA Rams have talent all over the field. Stars on both the offensive and defensive side of the football will send a shiver down the collective spines of those who are on their schedule. Odell Beckham Jr is one of those Rams stars who can do just that. When he returns from injury, he’ll easily prove his point.

So how can we be sure that Odell Beckham Jr. will re-sign with the LA Rams?

Let’s just say that he continues to remind us that he loves playing in the horns.
