The sun will rise, and Aaron Donald remains in EA Madden NFL’s 99 club
By Bret Stuter
We know how good LA Rams All-Pro defensive lineman Aaron Donald is. The entire NFL knows how good LA Rams All-Pro defensive lineman Aaron Donald is. What is so very surprising is that EA Madden NFL 23 knows how good LA Rams All-Pro defensive lineman Aaron Donald is.
Aaron Donald is back, and he is back in the 99-club.
We’d argued in the past that the game programmers should create a cheat code to unlock a 100 rating for Donald. While they have yet to address that matter, we believe it makes even more sense now. A hidden bonus. An easter egg that can be hidden in the game as a reward for some obscure achievement.
No matter how EA Madden NFL 23 wishes to justify the expense and effort, I believe that the time is now to introduce such a concept. After all, Aaron Donald has already threatened retirement. Beter get those programmers back in the development lab and get crack-a-lackin’ on it.
You see, Aaron Donald is back in Madden NFL’s 99-club once more.
How many years does that make it?
Six straight years for Aaron Donald.
Of course, this is just a virtual simulation of the NFL. The reality is that Aaron Donald feels better than the upper limit of a 99 rating, doesn’t he? In almost every big moment, you can almost count on Aaron Donald stepping up to make the game-saving play.
Ultimately, the sun will rise, the rain will fall, and Aaron Donald is back in the EA Madden NFL 99-club.
After several years of COVID-19 chaos, it looks like things are getting back to normal.
