Keep Elijah Garcia on your radar
Okay, I admit that I’m high on DT Elijah Garcia this year. Sometimes my hunches prove to be correct, and sometimes my hunches do not. But rather than me sell you any further on a young man who I’m personally rather high on, let’s just share this video interview he gave to Downtown Rams co-hosts Alexis Kraft and Jake Ellenbogen and let you decide for yourself
How about his athleticism? Well, surprisingly for a young player who was described as average athletically, he seems to have scored very well on his RAS score.
The Rams released Novil back in May, therefore huge opportunity for Elijah Garcia - a three-year starter from Rice.

High motor player with a lot of athleticism. Lot of tools for Eric Henderson to work with. pic.twitter.com/dFTuSw6TOK
Elijah Garcia is not some 98-pound weakling. Rather, he is a young man who has arrived at the NFL with a hunger to be the best player he can be. Coach Henderson certainly made a strong impression on the young man and in the interview above, Garcia shows a lot of character, humility, and willingness to learn.
Elijah Garcia will be wearing jersey number 69 and will have huge shoes to fill in following in the wake of Sebastian Joseph-Day. But I think he’s up to the challenge. In a season with the LA Rams in need of someone to step up, Elijah Garcia appears to be perfectly positioned to do exactly that.
