Trade scenario I: OL Chandler Brewer to the Detroit Lions, the Cincinnati Bengals, or the Green Bay Packers

Offensive lineman Chandler Brewer has long been viewed favorably by the LA Rams coaching staff. That favorable perspective has almost certainly stuck with former LA Rams personnel executive Brad Holmes, who is currently the General Manager for the Detroit Lions.

Holmes is in his second year with the Lions and would love to build a winning culture at Detroit. One way to do so is to infuse that Lions roster with LA Rams players who are coachable, productive, and have a great attitude. Chandler Brewer checks all of those boxes. Now the question is whether the Detroit Lions would be interested in trading anything for Brewer.

After all, the Lions have a high enough ranking in the NFL to expect to successfully any player who appears on the NFL waiver wire.

That cannot be said for either the Green Bay Packers or the Cincinnati Bengals, two teams that might appreciate the versatility of Brewer on their roster. Why these two teams? Both Packers head coach Matt LeFleur and Bengals head coach Zac Taylor are close friends and associates of LA Rams head coach Sean McVay, who run offenses that are very similar to that of the Rams, and are always in the market for players who can help their team.

Four possible trade scenarios to explore by the LA Rams front office before the team engages in their final round of roster cuts. Will any team be interested? Perhaps not. But it would not surprise me if one or more teams made offers.
