The LA Rams are struggling, and the team is trying to hold it all together despite the incredible number of injuries to LA Rams players in just five games. But injuries are part of this game, and the team that finds the most success in any given season is often the team that does remain healthy.

Healthy is not where the Rams are right now.

But help could be on the way. The Carolina Panthers have just fired head coach Matt Rhule after a 1-4 start this season, as well as firing DC Phil Snow and ST Coordinator Ed Foley. This is not a season-end turnstile, but rather a mid-season culling of ineffective coaches.

With so many top coaches from the Panthers coaching staff being shown the door, there is almost no way the team can hope for anything positive in terms of wins and losses this year. And so, the logical conclusion is that the Panthers are interested in rebuilding their team. But the Panthers have just four draft picks in the 2023 NFL Draft.

What about trading current players for draft picks? That’s the LA Rams’ mantra, and the Rams would be quite wise to pick up the phone and place some inquiries about who may be available.

So who should the LA Rams ask about? Well, almost everyone will gravitate towards Panthers star RB Christian McCaffrey. But McCaffrey has an enormously burdensome contract, and his last fully healthy season was in 2019.  So far, he has played five games this year, but he has only played in ten games over the past two seasons.
