Here comes the Seattle Seahawks (6-5). But this week’s contest has no flair and zest like the typical Seahawks-Rams rivalries, does it? QB Russell Wilson is now throwing for the Denver Broncos, and DT Aaron Donald is out, a rare event in his career, with an ankle injury.

Yes, the LA Rams have another game scheduled this week, but unlike other occasions, this one is more intriguing about who is playing and how well they perform than it is about the outcome. So are the Rams tanking? Well, not exactly. The first-round pick for the LA Rams may be quite valuable, but it is locked away in the vault of the Detroit Lions, part of the boot from a trade that moved veteran QB Matthew Stafford to the LA Rams roster.

Of course, the Rams were more than happy to deal away 2023 NFL Draft picks, which is why the Detroit Lions, New England Patriots, Cleveland Browns, and Green Bay Packers are all relishing the demise of the LA Rams this season. Of course, turnabout is fair play, and a sixth-round pick traded by the Packers to the Rams is looking more and more like a fifth-round pick each week.

But what about this game? Well, the pressure is all on the visiting Seattle Seahawks, who sit at the cusp of postseason play at 6-5. Because the NFC East Division is so very strong this season, the Seahawks likely need to win the NFC West Division, a difficult task as the team trails the San Francisco 49ers by a game and in most potential NFL Playoff tiebreakers. To have a reasonable chance at a playoff berth, the Seahawks must sweep the Rams, defeat the 49ers, and may need to run the table.  The Seahawks have exceeded everyone’s expectations this season, but that may prove to be too tall of an order.

LA Rams Injury Report vs Seahawks Week 12

The Rams roster is very much a mess right now, and likely will be throughout the rest of this season

Beyond the 14 or so players on the Rams’ IR list (and having all but exhausted their eight opportunities to reinstate players from the IR roster), the Rams are going to learn a great deal about the younger players on the Rams Roster. Rams veteran QB Matthew Stafford was placed on IR, which is why he is not listed below:

Rams

  • DT Aaron Donald (Ankle) – Out
  • LB Travin Howard (Hip) – Out
  • LB Terrell Lewis (Back) – Out
  • WR Lance McCutcheon (Shoulder) – Out
  • OC Brian Allen (Thumb) – Questionable
  • LB Ernest Jones (Back) – Questionable
  • DB Troy Hill (Groin) – Questionable

Seahawks

  • RB Travis Homer (Knee) – Out
  • LB Jon Rhattigan (Knee) – Out
  • S Josh Jones (Illness) – Questionable
  • S Ryan Neal (Illness) – Out

The LA Rams may be unfamiliar this week to fans, but there are plenty of reasons for the players who do take the field to do well.

Recommended Bets:

There really has not been much to be excited about from the LA Rams.

I feel as though I may be shirking my duties in this one, but nothing feels like a solid wager. But if you must make a bet, here are my very tepid takes:

Take the moneyline and the Seahawks to win  (-300)
Take the under at 40.5 (-110) in this one
National broadcast: FOX Sports

The LA Rams are in an ideal spoiler role this week, but the offense looks more like a preseason game than the 12th game of the season.

Weather Conditions

The weather at SoFi Stadium for this one is less than ideal. Light East winds will keep the skies overcast with intermittent showers throughout the game. Temperatures will hover in the low 60s, and thanks to the low clouds, air quality will be unhealthy.  You may want to wear rain-resistant garb for this one.
