Uncertainty. Drama. Plot Twists. The LA Rams 2022 NFL season was more closely aligned with Marvel Universe’s third Avengers movie blockbuster: Infinity War. In the end, the Rams are confused, are banged up, the leader of the team, head coach Sean McVay, is wrestling with his own future, and the Rams’ performance showed almost no resemblance to the scrappy team that hoisted the Lombardi Trophy just one short year ago.
It’s a tough time to be an LA Rams fan. The team ended on a downward spiral, and the fact that the team is stuck in the will-he-or-won’t-he-be back over nearly every member of the coaching staff is quite a difficult place to be. And some fans are lashing out as a result.
In my humble opinion, fans have been far too swift and entirely too harsh with the team, and the players on the Rams roster, this year. The facts in the NFL are that sometimes good teams have bad seasons. Injuries played a large part in that for the Rams this year, but it was less of a deterioration of talent and far more the obliteration of weeks of creating coordination and communication that left the team’s most vital units – the offensive line and secondary – scrambling.
But the appearance on social media from the LA Rams’ best defensive back was enough to trigger an immediate viral reaction:
It is what it is! It was what it was! If that’s the end, I went out wit a BANG! Still THAT! 🤟🏾 pic.twitter.com/dEM63EFa4u

So how are fans reacting? With the speculation that the LA Rams could be putting Jalen Ramsey on the trading block to acquire more draft picks for the 2023 NFL Draft, and a small enclave of Rams fans who are already cheering for and encouraging the team to do exactly that, the majority of the fans are a bit on edge. In other words? Not well is putting it mildly.
I swear to god if this team panic sells their core group of guys a year after winning the Super Bowl and overreacts to an injury-filled season by trading picks for Sean Payton I’m going full heel https://t.co/3LrGGptebH

There may be good reasons for the Tweet. One report suggests that it’s Ramsey’s reaction to not making the AP All-Pro team. Some fans have speculated that Ramsey may be willing to walk away if head coach Sean McVay does not return to coach the team in 2023.
In the end, the LA Rams fans are seeing ghosts and are hearing footsteps. And Jalen Ramsey’s cryptic message on Twitter has them leaning even further on the edge of their seats.
