LA Rams big guy? “Tell ’em yeah, I’m playing. Never said I wasn’t”

The LA Rams offense may run on the arm strength of starting quarterback Matthew Stafford, but the defense is fueled by the chaos and carnage that is All-Pro defensive lineman, Aaron Donald. With the questions that have surrounded this team from top to bottom, there are no grounds for assuming anything.

The automatic presumption is that both players and coaches who were part of the LA Rams organization in the most recent year of competition are no longer those gimmes for the following year. The pause and hesitation from LA Rams head coach Sean McVay saw to that.

But Coach McVay, after taking time to truly understand what he wanted, committed to coming back with a vengeance in 2023.  Veteran quarterback, despite health concerns that sidelined him for nearly half of the season, was on board to return with or without Coach McVay. That left the big guy. If the LA Rams were the Avengers, then Aaron Donald would be the Hulk, the strongest avenger.

Tell ’em C Lo yeah

What about his future?

And so, the LA Rams are assembling once more. Almost like the team found a way to go back in time, only to face their most powerful adversary once more. But this time, the LA Rams plan to be the victor.

The LA Rams roster was on its heels throughout the 2022 NFL season and the team quickly learned that the role of backup players is not just those players who can put in a handful of plays in a limited rotational role, nor satisfy the weekly practices of emulating another team’s offense or defense. The Rams watched as an astounding number of different players, 52 in all, step onto the football field and take either offensive or defensive snaps for this team (data provided from Lineups.com)

The Rams have had plenty of time to rest. The team has plenty of time to watch teams compete in the NFL playoffs and get hungry again. Now, it comes down to whether this team can deliver in 2023. I, for one, think that answer is most definitely yes.

And I believe that Aaron Donald will have a big part in the LA Rams’ success in 2023.
