The Los Angeles Rams front office is undoubtedly seeking game-changing talent to add to the team in the 2025 NFL Draft. The problem is that the consensus opinion about this rookie class is that there are only a handful of players who belong in that category. After that, the talent level drops to a good enough-to-start plateau level of talent that could extend midway from Round 1 through to midway of Round 4 of the draft.

But that is a generalization. Embedded in the silt of this rookie class remain gems who can and will excel on the Rams roster. The trick is to navigate the draft's ebb and flow towards specific positions, always managing to stay ahead of the herd in terms of ensuring an ample supply of talent, but not overpaying a savage premium to get the pick of the litter.

When do the talent levels drop precipitously? Which positions do the team that select before the Rams need to address in Round 1? There are so many variables that play into the strategy of a successful NFL GM that it truly takes on a attributes to a lottery ticket more than a savage amount of inhuman hours pouring over data, analytics, and a cascade of scenarios to yield statistical probabilities of who may be on the board when the Rams step up to make their first pick in Round 1.

No matter how good the data is leading into the draft, it all comes down to whether or not that player is still on the draft board.

While that does not bode well for the Rams sitting at the 26th overall pick, the team has several advantages. First and foremost, thanks to savvy signings in the 2025 NFL Free Agency market, the Rams roster is not screaming for attention at specific positions. Curiously, GM Les Snead nailed the past two drafts, despite the fact that the roster dictated limited positions that had to be addressed early in those respective drafts.

But the 2025 NFL Draft is taking shape to be a far more selective process. The NFL herd mentality of grabbing the next best player at the position that the previous team just selected has been moderately successful in the past. But this year's draft offers robust quantities of NFL-caliber talent, but only teams with a fine eye for detail will land the right skillset fit for their roster. I hold the Rams as one of the few teams with the ability to pick out gold nuggets from draft silt.

So who may be ideal fits for the Rams in the 2025 NFL Draft? I have three players who are offensive weapons from college football who have the right combination of skills, coachability, personality, and passion to flourish in the Rams offense. Best of all, they follow a pattern of successful young players onto a Rams offense that has unlocked the optimal production of rookie players in the past.

Who are they? And are they good enough to trade up for? Let's check them out:
