The once 1-4 record of the LA Rams is much better now. The team has won seven of nine games after their Week 6 BYE to improve to a rather impressive 8-6 record. The team still has three more games to play, but the range of possible final records for the Rams has narrowed considerably. For the worst-case scenario, the team will finish no worse than 8-9. For the best-case scenario, the team can finish 11-6. And at 11-6, not only will the Rams win the NFC West Division, but they would almost certainly finish as the third seed.

When the Rams went on to win Super Bowl LVI, they were the fourth-seeded team in the NFL Playoffs from the NFC. While too early to talk about the LA Rams' chances of winning Super Bowl LIX, it's not too early to talk about roster moves that could help this team win through the final three games, and perhaps into the post-season if the opportunity arises.

The Rams are heating up at the right time of the season again. So should the team sit and hope for the best? Or is it time to unleash the Kraken who is Rams GM Les Snead, and task him with finding the right player or two who can elevate this team's overall talent and perhaps give the Rams a fighting chance in any postseason competition?

Why not. After all, it's what Les Snead does best.

The Rams won Super Bowl LVI after the team made a number of shrewd and well-timed roster moves to bolster several key position groups that needed extra oomph to win in the playoffs. The team wisely traded with the Denver Broncos to rent All-Pro OLB Von Miller for 2021. Miller not only showed up big in the playoffs, but he was a great veteran sounding board for teammate All-Pro DT Aaron Donald.

The team also signed just released WR Odell Beckham Jr. after his release from the Cleveland Browns. While the wide receiver room was initially crowded, injuries quickly left the team no choice but to start OBJ and hope that he could learn the playbook on the job.

In Super Bowl LVI, OBJ was on track to have a huge game. In the first half, he had already hauled in two of three passes for 51 yards and a touchdown. But he suffered an ACL injury, and not only was he done for the day, but he was out of football in 2022 as well. He never returned to play for the Rams after the Super Bowl victory.
