(3) - Rams offense awakens form season-long slumber
The LA Rams team has scored 170 points this season. But 22 of those points were added by the very opportunistic defense. So in eight games, the Rams offense has put up just 148 points, or an average of 18.5 points per game. That's abysmal, particularly in the surprising knowledge that this offense is the highest-paid offensive group in the NFL.
If the offense was hampered by injuries in the past, that should no longer be the case. The team has all but one offensive weapon online for this game, and three offensive linemen, all of whom may start, are back at practice. Not only are they returning, but their absence has them returning as fresh as possible.
The team needs to re-establish their running game, and can do so in this game with a healthy offensive line.
(2) - RB Kyren Williams gets back on scoring track
The Seattle Seahawks stopped Rams RB Kyren Williams's scoring streak at 10 games. So the question is: When will Williams find the endzone? The answer may surprise you, but I expect that he crosses the plane once more in Week 10. Here's why:
The Rams have managed to get by with two untested rookies since the Week 6 BYE, left guard Justin Dedich and center Beaux Limmer. They have been outstanding in pass protection. But their ability to open running lanes has been hit-or miss. With the team likely to restore Jonah Jackson to left guard, the team should be a stronger running offense.
Hopefully, that will mean two things. First and foremost, it means that featured running back Kyren Williams will find the end zone again. But it should open the door for rookie RB Blake Corum to increase his share of offensive carries.
