If failure leads to knowledge, then the LA Rams just graduated from a PhD-level course, courtesy of the Philadelphia Eagles. And that is just fine. The Rams roster needed to see how close or far this team stands compared to the best teams in the NFL. While the Week 12 lessons learned through a humbling defeat at the hands of the Eagles, those lessons have to be met with grace and an open mind.
There is no shame is getting knocked down. The trick is to get back up, stronger than ever.
To prove that point, the Rams defense got back up, dusted itself off, and had a better than expected performance against the New Orleans Saints in Week 13 to ensure a win and buoy the team back to a .500 record at 6-6. Although the team won, the inconsistent play of this team is nothing to grow confident over. The Rams have never scored more than 30 points this season, and have only reached that 30 point plateau just once.
The incoming Buffalo Bills offense has scored 30 or more points 10 times this season. And they just piled 35 points on the San Francisco 49ers in an old-school beatdown by the score of 35-10. That victory has clinched the Bills as winners of the AFC East Division. Now the only thing left to decide for the Bills is their playoff seeding.
But that was virtually all the Philadelphia Eagles had to play for when they visited SoFi Stadium enroute to a 37-20 drubbing of the Rams. Unfortunately, that loss suffered by the Rams was a huge setback. While a loss to the Buffalo Bills does not mathematically eliminate the Rams, it does set the stage for a nearly impossibly steep path to the 2025 NFL Playoffs. So the key is not to lose in Week 14.
Easier said than done, right? Well, here are seven no-cost quick fixes to give this struggling Rams team a fighting chance in Week 14. So what are they? Let's take a look:
