(8) - Trust the young defensive playmakers to make plays
The LA Rams offense is a slow starter in 2024. Nothing captures the offense's early struggles better than the Week 13 game against the New Orleans Saints on the road. The Rams failed to score throughout the entire first half, a fact that could have been disastrous if not for the resilient young defense.
Even still, the defense only allowed six points. Two of three field goals in the first half by the Saints offense, which could easily have been 21 points in the first half. Even as fans grew frustrated at the inability to score, their anger was aimed at the defense. Ironically, it was the Rams defense that kept them in the game. And at one time, appeared to be poised for another defensive touchdown.

That play was overturned and considered an incomplete pass, but the defense held time and time again. By the end of the game, the Rams defense allowed two of three field goals in the first half, and just one touchdown in the second half (plus a two-point conversion). This was against a New Orleans Saints offense that averaged nearly 24 points per game.
Of course, this team has a young playmaking defensive front that continues to impress. Rookie outside linebacker is every bit a Round 1 rookie, as his performance and production is already rivaling that of NFL veterans:

But he is not alone. The Rams defensive front is a who's who of young and rising NFL stars, including NT Kobie Turner, DTs Tyler Davis, Braden Fiske, and Bobby Brown III, and OLBs Michael Hoecht and Byron Young. They will step up with the game on the line.
