Winning cures all ills. While that is a cliche saying, it's never been more true for any NFL team than for the LA Rams. At 2-4, the team is desperate for a win, its third of the season. Not only would it be the first winning streak by the team this season, but it would do wonders to squelch the increasing volume of NFL rumors that continue to link veteran WR Cooper Kupp to any number of wide receiver-needy teams before the 2024 NFL Trade Deadline.

If the team falls to 2-5, you can expect rumors to multiply overnight. And until the trade deadline is firmly in the rear view mirror, that volume will only grow. But at 3-4, there is light at the end of the tunnel. The team climbs to within .500 with just one more win, the winning streak extends to two games, and the team defeats a very formidable opponent.

Best of all, the team stays within striking distance of the NFC Western Division title.

The outcome of this game could hold significant relevance, not just for the rest of the 2024 NFL season, but for the future of the Los Angeles Rams entire football organization.

Does this team operate best under pressure? Whether intentionally or accidentally, there has never been more pressure to win than now. Friendships forged in the heat of the battle on the football field are being put to the test. Win, and relationships continue. Lose, and the team may opt to tear down some of the weight-bearing walls in the attempt to reforge a future championship team.

And it all seems to be coming to a head on Thursday Night Football.

Despite the Rams entering Week 8, and having played six games already, this will be only the second time that the offense boasts WRs Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua on the football field together. While the Vikings may have anticipated for Kupp's return, even Rams fans were caught unawares with the rapid progress to get Nacua on the football field in this one.

The Rams know what's at stake. This offense must show up in full force. The defense truly gift-wrapped a victory for the team in Week 7. Now, it's the offense's turn to gift wrap a win for the defense.

Stay tuned. This could be one we will all talk about for years to come.
