What is the best-case scenario for the Los Angeles Rams in Round 1 of the 2025 NFL Draft that you can imagine? Now, what is the worst-case scenario for the Los Angeles Rams in Round 1 of the same draft? The latest scenario mentioned by NFL Insider Adam Schefter could check the box for either, depending on who you talk to. You see, Schefter cites the wide range of variability for Colorado quarterback Shedeu Sanders in projecting him in terms of when he will come off the draft board.

Some draft analysts project him as early as the second overall rookie selected in the 2025 NFL Draft. Other analysts project him far lower. But even in those tumblie-down-the-draft-board scenarios, I've never seen anyone mention Shedeur Sanders falling to the Rams at the 26th overall pick.

ESPN's NFL Insider Adam Schefter just did.

We believe that the Los Angeles Rams are in the market for a rookie quarterback prospect to add to the roster from the 2025 NFL Draft. But the most common expectation is that the Rams front office will shop for the right fit on Day 3 of the 2025 NFL Draft. The Rams currently have veterans Matthew Stafford (starter), Jimmy Garoppolo (backup), and Stetson Bennett (reserve). As soon as the team makes any effort to add another quarterback, the natural conclusion is that the team is planning to part ways with Bennett.

It's truly difficult difficult to envision the Rams front office passing on Shedeur Sanders if he falls to 26th overall. But it's no easier to envision the Rams spending their first and only pick among the Top 90 selections on a rookie quarterback who almost certainly will not move the needle one iota to improving the team's chances of success in 2025, a season that could be Matthew Stafford's final year with the team.

So Shedeur Sanders' plummet to the Rams in Round 1 could be a difficult complication for the team to handle.

Is that a best-case scenario or a worst-case scenario for the LA Rams? It all depends on who you talk to. Let's break it all down for you:
