The Los Angeles Rams are 5-6 after a Week 12 drubbing by the Philadelphia Eagles, which featured running back Saquon Barkley running all over the defense on national television. It was a truly embarrassing night that set the Rams' playoff hopes back and blew a golden opportunity to gain some ground in the NFC West with both the Cardinals and 49ers losing.
A day later things got even worse for the team with a serious matter off the field.
According to TMZ, Rams wide receiver Demarcus Robinson was arrested on suspicion of DUI early Monday morning. Robinson was also reportedly going over 100 mph when he was stopped and later booked.
"Shortly after 5 AM, an officer observed Robinson’s white Dodge sedan speeding at an alarming rate (allegedly driving over 100 MPH). The officers conducted a traffic stop and noticed Robinson appeared to show signs of impairment, raising suspicions that he was under the influence of alcohol."
Additional reports about the incident did appear later, seemingly confirming Demarcus Robinson's arrest and release by the California Highway Patrol under suspicion of DUI:

Latest details on Demarcus Robinson arrest for DUI
We know that an incident took place in the early morning hours of November 25, 2024, that involved LA Rams wide receiver Demarcus Robinson. The incident reportedly occured on north US Highway 101, at a location south of Tampa Avenue. Police reported observed a white Dodge van operated by Robinson traveling at a high rate of speed, prompting an enforcement stop.
The officers involved noted behavior and signs associated with impairment due to alcohol. Robinson was cited and released.
The NFL and the Rams will most likely cooperate with that investigation, but neither have made any comments yet. After all of the investigations are taken care of, the league or the team will likely levy some punishment against Robinson, but all of that comes a little further down the line.
If investigations result in any sort of a suspension for Robinson, it would be a big blow to the Rams offense. Demarcus Robinson has scored the second-most touchdowns for the team this season and has proven to be a pretty big piece of the offense. His six touchdowns are second to Kyren Williams, who has chalked up nine rushing touchdowns and two receiving touchdowns.
More details on what happens next with the investigation and potential punishment are expected to come in the next few days.
