Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua has been banged up a bit. He was shaken up in Week 1, only to return and lead the team to a season-opening victory. Rather than hamper his performance, that seemed to serve as a wake-up call. He's started in six games, but he left the game early in Week 6.

Despite his absences this season, the former Brigham Young University receiver has been ablaze in 2025. Despite a Week 8 BYE, and missing playing time, he remains among the NFL receiving leaders this season. His current pace places him on track to put up over 150 reception in 2025. That would place him atop the NFL's single-season reception leaders.

Nacua's chemistry with veteran quarterback Matthew Stafford is off the charts in 2025. Right now, the pair have connected for 54 receptions on 65 targets for 616 receiving yards and two touchdowns. That is a phenomenal 83 percent completion rate, and one that the two have every reason to be proud of.

While he sat out Week 7, LA's offense simply distributed the football to 10 different players. While that worked for one game, it's not something fans should expect after Nacua returns. After all, he is money in the bank when it comes to completions.

Los Angeles has plenty of offensive weapons, but only one elite wide receiver who is chasing multiple NFL records this season. Stafford loves throwing Puka Nacua's direction. Not only is he catching everything in his neighborhood, but he is tough to bring down once he has secured the football.

LA proved that it can score without its top receiver. But it's easier for the team to stick with the tried-and-true formula. The team resumes competition in Week 9, and fans hope that means the third-year receiver will be healthy again. The team has won five of seven games, thanks in large part to the outstanding play of the offense. Fans hope that continues after the BYE. As always, thanks for reading.
