The 12-5 Los Angeles Rams have completed the 2025 NFL season and must now pivot to the NFL playoffs. But the thing is, no NFL team can be directly compared. While coaches, rosters, and players change each year, so do schedules. That's why the NFL has incorporated strength of schedule and strength of victory in tiebreakers.

But fans can participate in the endeavor of gauging just how good Los Angeles has been this season without all of that math. The most direct route to do so is to consider just how many opponents faced this season have landed in the NFL playoffs. Of 17 games played, LA has competed in eight games against teams bound for the 2025 NFL Playoffs.

That's a ridiculously high number.

Keep in mind that it excludes teams that failed to reach the postseason but remained in contention until the end of the season. Teams like the Detroit Lions, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Baltimore Ravens, and Indianapolis Colts fall into that category. The Rams 2025 schedule was packed with potent teams.

Now the fans will get to see LA facing former opponents for a second time.

Who did the LA Rams face in 2025 who made it to the playoffs?

1. Houston Texans 12-5

The Texans travelled to face LA in SoFi Stadium, and the game proved to be a masterful defensive clash. While the Horns only scored twice, they put up touchdowns to the Texans' three field goals. That was a huge win to open the season.

2. Jacksonville Jaguars 13-4

The Yellow and Blue traveled all the way to England to face the Jacksonville Jaguars, and obliterated them by a score of 35-7. That was the worst beatdown of the Jaguars all season long. Meanwhile, it added to LA's reputation as a team to watch.

3. Carolina Panthers 8-9

The Week 13 loss to the Panthers required flawless execution by the home team, and a mistake-marred effort by the visitors. Shockingly, the game was decided by a field goal. Whatever the cause for the loss, fans can expect LA to be much more prepared for the rematch.

4. San Francisco 49ers (X2) 12-5

Yes, the 49ers won the first contest in overtime by a field goal. But this was another turnover-plagued loss, one by running back Kyren Williams on the 49ers' three-yard line. And yes, special teams missed a field goal as well. But Los Angeles exacted revenge, blowing out the 49ers in a 42-26 victory at San Francisco. The rematch was all LA, as the offense piled up 21 unanswered points and coasted the rest of the way for the win.

Philadelphia Eagles 11-6

Despite building up a 19-point lead, LA's special team found a way to lose this one. As this was the third game of the season, the offense struggled mightily in the red zone, as did the defense in defending the red zone. Despite a poorly played game, the margin of the loss was a mere seven points.

Seattle Seahawks (X2) 14-3

These two teams combined for two games and a margin of victory of one point in Los Angeles's favor. It was an overtime loss by one point in Seattle that catapulted the Seahawks to the NFC's number one seed.

Still, Los Angeles split the series and owns a one-point advantage over the Seahawks in the process.

If you've been keeping score, the LA Rams enter the NFL playoffs with a record of 4-4 against playoff teams. That's the best of the NFL, and it's solid evidence that this team is one of the most dangerous teams in the postseason.

As always, thanks for reading.
