What will the Rams do in Week 10?

It's no shame to admit that both rookies Beaux Limmer and Justin Dedich have absolutely played lights out for the team. Dedich was undrafted, and Limmer fell to the team in Round 6 of the 2024 NFL Draft. Both players have proven their worth as starters on the Rams offensive line so far.

But the team always intended to go with the likes of Alaric Jackson, Steve Avila, Jonah Jackson, Kevin Dotson, and Rob Havenstein. With Havenstein out due to injury, the coaches will almost certainly view Week 10 as the opportune time to rip off the bandaid and restore as many starters to the lineup as possible.

Come what may.

Limmer is a natural center. Neither Avila nor Jackson are natural for that role, not in the NFL. While both have dabbled as centers in college, the team has to be certain that veteran QB Matthew Stafford, and the offensive line as a group, can play at peak levels with a new center snapping the football.

The Rams will certainly make one change, inserting Joe Noteboom at right tackle for the injured Rob Havenstein. And what will the team do about banged up right guard Kevin Dotson?

Ideally, the Rams let both Dotson and Havenstein heal up. That may necessitate keeping Limmer at center. That would also translate into Steve Avila at left guard and Jonah Jackson at right guard. Sound crazy? If the team is to recover from a short week to travel to and face the New England Patriots, the team has to afford time for players to heal.

As always, thanks for reading.
