Rams injury report - glass half empty

It's never an easy task to enter a football game as a home underdog and be faced with an injury to a key contributor. Some fans had hoped that veteran right tackle Rob Havenstein might be healthy enough to suit up to face the Eagles. But as of the latest Rams injury report, that is almost certain not to happen. And that creates a bit of a conundrum for the coaching staff.

In Week 11, backup offensive tackle Warren McClendon Jr. handled the starting right tackle job, and played extremely well. And there is a lot to be said with continuity. In fact, as the team makes final preparations to face the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 12, continuity on the offense line could play a huge role in the outcome of the game.

But there is the matter of swing tackle Joe Noteboom. He was listed as a full participant in practice on both Thursday and Friday of this week, has no game status qualifiers, and is considered to be the first offensive tackle to step in for an injured teammate.

On one hand, the LA Rams would love to duplicate the same results in Week 12 as they experienced in Week 11. Namely, a win. 28 points scored. And perhaps best of all, no sacks against veteran quarterback Matthew Stafford. But how confident are the Rams coaches in Warren McClendon Jr. Will the availability of Noteboom persuade them to make another change to the starting offensive line?
