George Kittle's recent comments about 49ers' struggles will make Rams fans laugh
One of the most disappointing teams in the NFL this season has been the San Francisco 49ers, much to the delight of Los Angeles Rams fans. The 49ers dropped to 5-7 after getting the brakes beaten off of them by the Bills on Sunday Night Football, moving them to residing all alone in the NFC West basement.
The division as a whole has been disappointing this year but it's been fun to see the 49ers crash back down to earth after coming up just short of a Super Bowl title earlier this year. The Rams haven't exactly been wheeling and dealing this year either but the expectations for them weren't as high as they were for the reigning NFC champion 49ers.
It gets better though. During the 49ers' blowout loss to the Bills, tight end George Kittle was only targeted twice and he was not happy about it. When asked why the ball only went his way twice in a game where he was clearly needed to step up and help make something happen, Kittle simply responded, "I do not have an explanation."
Rams fans will love how frustrated George Kittle is with the 49ers
In the 49ers' defense, there was a snowstorm brewing in Orchard Park during the game but that didn't stop the Bills from scoring 35 points. If one team could do it, it was possible for the other team to accomplish that feat as well.
Kittle is one of the 49ers' best players and for him to only see two targets seems ridiculous. To Rams fans, however, it's quite funny. Their regression this year has been an absolute blast to watch.
The laughs might not continue for too long, however, as the Bills who just put the smackdown on the 49ers are coming to SoFi Stadium this weekend to face the Rams. That's still nearly a week away though, so for now, soak up this moment, Rams fans.
The good guys are 6-6 after beating the Saints in Week 13 and while their playoff chances are also grim (19% chance of getting to the postseason), the NFC West is still up in the air and the 49ers appear to be down for the count. That last part is worth celebrating.
