How to listen to the Vikings vs. the Rams NFL Week 8 game on the radio
By Bret Stuter
The Minnesota VIkings travel to SoFi Stadium to take on the LA Rams on Thursday Night Football. But not all fans of either the Rams or the Vikings are happy about it.
Thursday Night Football on Prime is always a bit of a controversial topic among NFL fans. Unlike years past when the main three (and then four) nationally televised broadcast networks would bid on NFL packages to cover and broadcast professional football games, the NFL discovered a pot of gold by carving out smaller NFL packages. Thus the games on Sunday afternoon and Monday Night grew to include Thursday Night and Sunday Night games as well.
And to be honest, I'm not certain that it will stop there.
Smaller NFL broadcast packages to the networks mean more cost and subscription fees to NFL fans who want to watch the games. As more and more streaming options come online, more and more disgruntled fans are forced to either pay for more and more streaming services or opt-out and find alternative ways to follow the games.
One such option is the trusty ole radio.
