It only took 3 games until the Rams realized that this veteran is not NFL ready

The Rams have shown tremendous patience, but it appears that patience has worn thin.

The LA Rams are not quick to move on from a struggling player. Despite the outcry of many fans, the team has stuck with QB Stetson Bennett despite his year away from the team in 2023. But this football organization has a plan, so the team was more than willing to welcome back the newly-recharged quarterback. And in doing so, the team has stuck behind the only hurler who joins veteran Matthew Stafford on the team's roster in 2025.

The Rams have stood behind interior offensive linemen Logan Bruss for years. Well, for two years plus three games so far this year. But Bruss was severely injured in his rookie season, and was unable to rehab in time for the team in 2023. But 2024 was projected to be the season for his big move, and with injuries to starters and the team willing to lose a stellar teammate, Zach Thomas, by not keeping Thomas on the roster despite an incredible preseason.

The Rams opted to stick behind Logan Bruss once again.

But after three starts, and dismal results from Bruss, the team has seen enough. Bruss started just three games, allowed two quarterback sacks, and struggled with his role at left guard. Over the BYE, the team opted to make a change, and undrafted USC rookie Justin Dedich has been named the team's starter for Week 7.

That was confirmed by the CBS Sports broadcast booth on the team's first offensive possession.

Justin Dedich, despite not hearing his name called out during the 2024 NFL Draft, is certainly intriguing. We have been high on Dedich from the moment he joined the team. While the result for a rookie to start mid-season is never a certainty, the benefit of Dedich starting after a BYE week means that he has had a week's worth of practice to get comfortable playing alongside his teammates.

The Rams are willing to shake things up this season. Let's hope this one pans out.
