Kyren Williams sends message to Jets ahead of cold-weather match-up

He's not afraid of the cold!

The Los Angeles Rams are one of the hottest teams right now but they're about to play their chilliest game of the year when they head to East Rutherford, New Jersey for a date with the New York Jets. This game is important for the Rams because a win gives them a 66% chance of making the playoffs while a loss drops their chances to 45%.

That hasn't even been the hot topic of conversation entering this game. No, the main talking point ahead of Rams/Jets is the weather, as the forecast calls for clear skies and a temperature of 23 degrees for the Week 16 match-up between the Rams and Jets is 23 degrees, a far cry from the gorgeous weather the Rams are used to in Los Angeles.

Considering the Rams play in Los Angeles where it's generally quite pleasant outside, it makes sense that people might doubt their abilities to handle the cold weather that New Jersey will bring. Well, running back Kyren Williams doesn't want to hear it.

While "warming" up for the Rams' Week 16 match-up against the struggling Jets, Williams sent a message by wearing a cropped sleeveless shirt and saying, "They said we can't handle the cold. All right, they gonna see then."

Yes, it's true that the Rams typically don't play their games in 20-degree weather but they're the better team here. They also have a playoff spot on the line and can't afford to slip up.

Oh, and this is similar to my first point but the Jets are lousy this year. Despite entering the season with Super Bowl aspirations, Aaron Rodgers has not been able to rejuvenate the Jets franchise and he and the Jets have just four wins on the season. The hope is that the cold isn't an issue and the Rams can cruise to another victory and inch closer to securing a playoff spot.
