Who have the Rams met with, and when?

Here is a list of rookie prospects who have met with, both formally and informally, representatives from the Los Angeles Rams. Bold names are players who have been mocked to the Rams.

February 25 mock draft

Round 1 (1 pick)

  • Penn State TE Tyler Warren
  • Michigan TE Colston Loveland
  • Georgia S Malaki Starks
  • Texas OT Kelvin Banks

The Rams have one Round 1 pick, so they will undoubtedly want to optimize the impact to the team here. Will the team go tight end? Will the team go left tackle? Will the team try to trade back to add picks? The Rams want to set the stage for another successful draft by making their lone pick among the first 75 selections off the board count.

The tight end position is a curious matter in the 2025 NFL Draft. Typically, the position attracts no more than one rookie selection in Round 1. But with the Rams choosing late in the round, the 2025 NFL Draft could have multiple tight ends hearing their names in Round 1. But which tight end will be there for the Rams?

Round 2 (0 picks)

  • Texas TE Gunner Helm
  • LSU CB Zy Alexander
  • Texas WR Matthew Golden

While the Rams have no Round 2 picks initially, some believe that a trade of veteran QB Matthew Stafford could net the team a Round 2 pick (plus). So If the team adds multiple Round 2 projected prospects to their meetings, that could be a sign that a trade may be imminent.

The Rams are quickly being linked to just about every tight end rookie prospect in this draft, and for good reason. The team has a chance to land an elite offensive weapon that has eluded them for several years. The front office is clearly going to select a tight end in the 2025 NFL Draft. Still, the question remains who will be selected, and in which round?

Round 3 (2 picks)

  • Oklahoma LB Danny Stutsman
  • Texas QB Quinn Ewers
  • LSU TE Mason Taylor
  • Oregon WR Tez Johnson
  • Arizona State RB Cam Skettebo

While the Rams have two picks in Round 3, they fall late in the round. That means that the team may have some surprisingly talented rookies fall to them in Round 3, or that the cupboards may be bare. Whichever positions the team is targeting in Round 1, they may prepare to catch a Plan B prospect at that positions in Round 3. And in some draft boards, there is not much dropoff from Round 1 to Round 3.

Round 4 (1 pick)

  • Alabama QB Jalen Milroe
  • Colorado State WR Tory Horton
  • Georgia C Jared Wilson

One of the Rams most notable selections in Round 4 recently was former Georgia quarterback Stetson Bennett. Ironically, Bennett is the lone quarterback who is almost certainly going to be on the Rams roster in 2025.

If the Rams are going to add to the defense, Round 4 seems like an ideal spot to do so.

Round 5 (0 picks)

  • Virginia Tech CB Dorian Strong

The Rams have crushed the draft in Round 5. The team added RB Kyren Williams in Round 5 of the 2022 NFL Draft, and WR Puka Nacua in Round 5 of the 2023 NFL Draft. While the team does not have any picks in Round 5 currently, I would be shocked if the Rams did not manufacture a pick or two in Round 5 just to extend their success in the round.

Round 6 (3 picks)

  • Syracuse S/ILB Justin Barron

The Rams love to have this level of flexibility in Round 6, a round in which the team can target raw players with huge upside, as well as plug holes in special teams. I would be very surprised if the Rams stick with three picks in Round 6, if for no other reason that trading up or back to fill in extensive gaps.

Round 7 (0 picks)

  • Virginia S Jonas Sanker
  • Oregon IOL Torricelli Simpkins III
  • Washington LB Carson Bruener

The Rams have had some success in Round 7 in the past, and I expect the team to try to get a Round 7 pick this year. The Rams may not have a Round 7 pick yet, but I would be shocked if the team did not trade picks in this draft and acquire at least one pick.

Priority UDFA signings

With the depth of defensive linemen, running backs, and tight ends, I would expect the team to try signing some of the better undrafted prospects at those positions after the draft concludes. All three roles have multi-functional roles on an NFL roster, as they can compete in their natural positions as well as on special teams.

So who have the Rams met with?
