The Los Angeles Rams are struggling early in Week 6, as West Coast teams often struggle to get going early on the road against East Coast teams. But this contest has been a bit of a surprise. The 1-4 Baltimore Ravens are backed into a corner, needing a win. And Los Angeles has yet to show up and compete in a full game. It doesn't help that the weather is being uncooperative.
The Ravens need a win like a fish needs water. And with an early injury to LA's star wide receiver Puka Nacua, they may have a shot at an upset. Down 3-0, the Horns were trying to score a go-ahead touchdown with quarterback Matthew Stafford throwing to Nacua in the end zone, but the pass was incomplete, and the Brigham Young receiver was shaken up on the play.

After he was helped to the locker room, the team reported that he suffered a foot injury and is questionable to return. That is a huge setback to an offense that is struggling to put up consistent offensive drives. Nacua is the top receiver as he left the game. The offense is trying to get the football to Davante Adams, but he has only caught 3-of-7 for 24 yards.
Rams' offense may feel Puka Nacua's absence in this one
Without a sure-handed receiver, the offense is struggling. No player is without blame, as the receivers have struggled to catch passes in the high winds. And the results are showing up in the box score, as Matthew Stafford is just 8-of-15 for 80 yards in the first half. It's simply not the way fans have seen the 37-year-old show up this season.
Nacua has been injured before and returned later to lead the team to victory. The offense will need similar heroics to get a win in Baltimore. Before the game, many expected the elite receiver to show up in a big way. But so far, the Ravens' ball-control offense has controlled the clock.
The Rams have fumbled once, missed a field goal, and lost a turnover on a muffed punt due to offsides, and gave up a huge punt return. It's another game that seems to be decided by dominoes falling the wrong way. This is a tough one, as victory may depend on getting the top receiver back on the football field.
