A little over a month ago, the news broke of Cooper Kupp being shopped by the Los Angeles Rams. A trade was officially on the horizon.
Kupp took to social media to explain the situation and how the Rams were looking to trade him while also expressing his gratitude for the time he's spent in Los Angeles. While he didn't agree with the decision he had to understand this is, indeed, a business.
Fast forward to present day and the Rams have yet to complete a trade. Clearly, they haven't found an offer they are completely on board with.
In recent comments via ESPN's Adam Schefter, Rams general manager Les Snead responded to the idea of whether Kupp could end up sticking around and playing for the Rams in 2025.
“There is a scenario, but when you get into probabilities that would be the least likely. I don’t want to tell you ‘no’ today and then next week he’s a Ram," Snead said.
This is, at the very least, interesting. Snead doesn't like to speak in absolutes, nor does head coach Sean McVay. The two of them are on the same page when it comes to that sentiment. So, the door is not completely closed until someone slams it shut with a deal.
A Cooper Kupp trade still seems like the most probable outcome
Although Snead seemingly left the door open for Kupp to stay a Ram, he did go on to reiterate the reality of the situation.
"You see what we’re trying to do. We’re working to try to find a partner and a next chapter for Cooper and ourselves," he finished.

The Rams are still trying to trade Kupp. They'd still like to find the best place for him to continue his career, which might be why a trade hasn't happened just yet. The two sides share such a deep, mutual respect that Snead likely won't ship him off the first chance he gets.
No, instead, the Rams are going to try and work with Kupp to find a good spot for he and his family to end up. Aside from the fact that losing Kupp is going to sting, Rams fans can rest in the idea that their team's front office wants to do right by one of their best players and human beings.
Talks might heat up in the coming days or weeks due to free agency beginning shortly, and with the top of the receiver market not going too deep, Kupp could soon be a target for teams who missed out on Tee Higgins or Chris Godwin.
