It's time to commemorate another landmark of the Los Angeles Rams' schedule, transitioning from training camp to the preseason. It's the time of year when every day is as much about the eventual roster impacts as it is about training players and coaching them up. It's the time of year when actions have consequences.

Of offense, the greatest surprise of this new roster projection is the release of veteran Colby Parkinson. But he simply is not worth the money, as even Davis Allen is out hustling him. And the team needs rookie Terrance Ferguson involved in this offense, a goal that can only be optimized if he is not competing with Parkinson for snaps or targets.
On defense, the outbreak of minor injuries persuades the Rams to lean towards carrying an extra cornerback. Derion Kendrick is the beneficiary of the decision. To make room, the team parts ways with former Eagles PR Britain Covey. Much like Boston Scott in 2024, the Rams choose not to carry a return specialist on the roster.
A few changes from our initial Rams roster projection. And when the Rams play their first preseason game, we will have a pretty good foundation of the team's first 40 players who have made the roster. But there's still time for one or two players on the bubble to push hard to make the team. Stay tuned.
And thank you so much for reading.
