The Los Angeles Rams are thrilled to have veteran quarterback Matthew Stafford under center for one more season. While the team and player know that all good things must eventually come to an end, the Rams are counting on Stafford to have one more solid season left in him. And the team has invested in the offense to ensure that this year gives the starting quarterback all the tools necessary to become one of the NFL's top offenses.
But this is an offense that comes with a disclaimer. Some assembly required.
And so, OTAs, minicamp, and the upcoming training camp are all about aiding the coaching staff to assemble the best and optimal offense for the team this season. While it's an annual exercise, the team has interwoven familiar and unfamiliar faces, and after everyone made their introductions, it's time to figure out which players will fill which roles.
At minicamp, the media had an opportunity to pose questions to the Rams' veteran QB. Of course, Stafford was coming off a minicamp held on Maui, Hawaii, and many of the questions posed focused on that new wrinkle to the Rams' schedule.

It's only t-shirts and shorts so far, but Matthew Stafford was upbeat in his impressions so far. He didn't want to overhype the team, nor was he willing to fall into the trap of pledging to achieve high standards at this point in the season. But you could tell that he held a bit of seasoned pride this offseason.
He was able to connect with new veteran WR Davante Adams while securing his connections with other Rams offensive weapons like WR Puka Nacua, Tutu Atwell, and TE Tyler Higbee.

Of course, Stafford is savvy enough to know that positive comments are on the menu at this stage, and he delivered quite well. But for a veteran quarterback who is getting long in the tooth, he has a bit of a skip this season. Much like the rejuvenated Davante Adams, Stafford has been reinfected with a passion for football once more.
That's good for Stafford. That's great for the team.
As always, thanks for reading.
