The Los Angeles Rams will get a jumpstart on the 2026 NFL season, thanks to opening on Thursday, September 10, 2026, in Melbourne, Australia. But that season opener is against the San Francisco 49ers, so opening with a victory is by no means a sure thing. But now, it appears that NFL schedulers have far more tricks up their sleeves.
Despite a season with limited information available, another NFL rumor regarding Los Angeles has bubbled to the surface. Now it appears that the team has another complication. LA is rumored to be hosting the Green Bay Packers in Week 12. That will fall on Wednesday, November 25, 2026, at SoFi Stadium, and will be telecast by Netflix.

The timing of this game being held on a Wednesday seems to elevate the chances of both the Packers and Rams enjoying a Week 11 BYE. If that holds, the Horns could be set up nicely for a playoff push. The team gets a BYE in Week 11, a game on Wednesday of Week 12, and then an immediate mini-bye after that home game.
That's not a bad aspect for 2026.
Rams official account confirmed rumors
It's a nice twist that the LA Rams will host the Packers at a time of the NFL season when the risk of frigid weather is at its peak. Instead, the team will enjoy a possible snow game under the sunny skies of Los Angeles, California. That's a plus for the Yellow and Blue.
It didn't take long until the team's official social media account confirmed the rumors. And the opportunity to purchase tickets for this game can be found here.

OF the two games whose details are known, both are prime time games slated to be broadcast by the Netflix streaming service. While the games may be subject to the luck of the draw, Netflix seems to have landed two powerhouse games in the 2026 NFL season. Of course, games featuring Los Angeles have a better than even chance of being significant when it comes to postseason impact.
It may not be a coincidence that LA gets a primetime contest against Green Bay in the same year that NFL analysts draw parallels between Ty Simpson and Packers quarterback Jordan Love.
Information about who LA plays and when is tough to get this season. But it will all be abailable soon. As that informatioon becomes official, well be sharing what it all means. Until then, it looks like Rams coaches and players will have a chance to enjoy a Thanksgiving Day feast with family and friends.
As always, thanks for reading.
