Perfect Cooper Kupp landing spot has fallen into the Rams' lap

This makes too much sense.

Wednesday morning, yet another big wide receiver name was traded when the Kansas City Chiefs were able to pull off a deal for DeAndre Hopkins.

Just moments later, a former L.A. Rams linebacker was dealt from those same Tennessee Titans, as Ernest Jones is headed to Seattle in a deal that leaves Rams fans wondering what exactly happened, there.

Back to the wide receiver topic, though, and now the biggest name left on the trade market is Cooper Kupp. But, is he going to be traded? That's the question.

If the Rams do indeed trade him, the most logical destination now appears to be the Pittsburgh Steelers, who have been in on multiple wide receiver trade discussions over the last few months. They missed out on Davante Adams and Brandon Aiyuk, but Kupp remains a viable option; maybe the best option for Pittsburgh that's left.

We have heard nonstop chatter in regards to how Russell Wilson is impacting the Steelers offense, even after just one game. The fact that he takes shots and throws a very catchable ball down the field is going to open things up even further for the run game with Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren.

But what might also be a complete game-changer is a Kupp trade, allowing him to work into open spaces and find the creases as he does so well. Of course, Kupp is lethal after the catch, too. But, if George Pickens is now going to be a factor down the field and the Steelers continue to pound their run game, that's going to allow for someone like Kupp to have a bit more space as well.

More Rams news:

This seems to be a match made in heaven, to be quite honest. And, the Steelers haven't been shy about making moves. To ask them for a second-round pick seems more than doable, especially if they stick with Wilson and ultimately only end up surrendering that sixth-round pick to Chicago for Justin Fields.

Updated landing spots for Cooper Kupp after DeAndre Hopkins trade

1. Pittsburgh Steelers

We've made the case for Pittsburgh, and it seems far too obvious. But, if not the Steelers, there are two others which make a lot of sense.

2. Baltimore Ravens

As if the Ravens couldn't get any scarier on offense with how Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry are playing... imagine if they traded for Kupp. The team did see Zay Flowers get a bit banged up in Week 7 which then led to Rashod Bateman becoming a bigger part of the offense.

Could the Ravens go all-in with a move like this? It certainly makes sense. Despite drafting Bateman and Flowers, the Ravens still don't have a legitimate WR1 for Jackson. Enter: Kupp.

That would be terrifying.

3. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Finally, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers just lost Chris Godwin for the season and also saw Mike Evans go down with a hamstring injury that will leave him out until after the Week 11 bye. It will be rookie Jalen McMillan and second-year pro Trey Palmer, along with veteran Sterling Shepard, picking up the slack.

There are likely some Bucs fans out there wondering if the team would entertain going after a notable wide receiver via trade, and giving Liam Coen a weapon like Kupp could be extremely dangerous for opposing defenses.
