Here we go. The 11-4 Los Angeles Rams face the 6-9 Atlanta Falcons on Monday Night Football on December 29, 2025. But what about Sunday games? Who should Rams fans cheer for before Los Angeles takes the football field?

Well, with two games remaining in the season, there are many ways this season can play out to land Los Angeles as the NFC top-seed. Still, there are games that hold significant impacts for the Horns. The basic rule of thumb

Strength of Victory games

  • Cardinals at Bengals - A Cardinals victory adds to LA's Strength of Victory tiebreaking odds
  • Saints at Titans - Not much of a factor, as LA faced both teams
  • Buccaneers at Dolphins - A Bucs victory adds to LA's SOV tiebreaker
  • Eagles at Bills - An Eagles loss limits the Birds to no better than a third seed.

As it stands now, Los Angeles will most likely travel to Philadelphia to face the Eagles. But, the bottom line is that the games that affect the LA Rams involve the 12-3 Seattle Seahawks and the 11-4 San Francisco 49ers. So how do those teams impact the Rams?

Games that hold significant impact for Rams

12-3 Seattle Seahawks at 8-7 Carolina Panthers

With an NFC West showdown on the horizon, the Seahawks face a tough road opponent in the Panthers in Week 17. The Panthers defeated LA in similar circumstances several weeks prior. And there is the question of an emotional letdown by Seattle after a physical victory in overtime.

This is a tough draw for both teams. The Panthers are banged up. Seattle faces a trap game. For LA Rams fans, cheer for Carolina.

11-4 Chicago Bears at 11-4 San Francisco 49ers

The 49ers win all tiebreakers over LA, so fans have to cheer for San Fran to lose games. While they get the Bears at home, the Niners really have not beaten many good teams this season. And that defense is entirely suspect. Finally, the 49ers may be caught flat-footed in looking ahead to facing the 12-3 Seahawks in Week 18.

There is no way around it. Los Angeles needs the Bears to defeat the 49ers. They could do it, as they are a formidable team that has won several games unexpectedly this season.

Of course, the Los Angeles Rams have to win out to have a chance of winning the division. But one thing at a time.

As always, thanks for reading.
