The Los Angeles Rams could find themselves in Super Bowl contention during the 2024 NFL Season. What are their keys to success? All of a sudden, the LA Rams find themselves in a great spot for contention in 2024. They raced to the finish line in 2023, finished with 10 wins, and gave the Detroit Lions a ton of trouble in the NFC Wild Card round.

With their 2023 rookie class being outstanding, and perhaps them bringing in another strong rookie class for 2024, the Rams might be on the brink of something special this upcoming season. However, it takes a ton going right for a team to just finish with a winning record, let alone making the playoffs.

So, let's dive into three massive keys for success for the LA Rams in the 2024 NFL Season.

3 keys to success for the Los Angeles Rams in the 2024 NFL Season

There are always the usual and customary keys to the success of any team. Durability is atop the list for many reasons. Teams that can stay healthier than their competition have a decided edge. Turnovers are another area that can make or break an NFL team's season. But let's pull away from cliches and generalities and hone in on keys for this team in this season. Some of the most vital keys to success are:

Matthew Stafford not declining

Folks, Matthew Stafford is 36 years old. The end is near for the future Hall of Fame quarterback, who helped lead the LA Rams to the Super Bowl in the 2021 NFL Season. After a messy 2022 season, Stafford rebounded in a great way in 2023, and while his numbers do not jump of the page, his play was simply outstanding as the season got later.

However, what is also true is that Stafford has been banged up almost every year of his career, and he's played through quite a few injuries. At some point, his body is not going to agree with the NFL anymore, and the Rams will go as Stafford goes in 2024. The hope here is that he can give the LA Rams two or three more strong years, but there is always a change that he hits a wall in 2024.

As of now, the Rams have to be looked at as being a viable Super Bowl team if their strong 2023 rookie class takes a step forward in 2024. And their 2024 rookie class also seems quite good, so LA may have something special here heading into the season, but it hinges on the quarterback.

Another quality rookie class

Did the Los Angeles Rams seriously come away with another stud draft class? They may have, and while offseason draft grades don't usually mean much, most were very high on the Rams. They were able to land prospects like Jared Verse, Braden Fiske, Kamren Kinchens, and Blake Corum. The defense has gotten a huge makeover this offseason, and both Verse and Fiske can find some early reps during their rookie season.

Blake Corum may end up being the next RB1 in LA, and we can also kind of cheat here and consider some free agent signings as being a part of the "rookie" class. Guys like Tre White, Darious Williams, and Kamren Curl are quality, veteran additions to help stabilize the backend. Free agent signing Jonah Jackson puts the finishing touches on a top-12 offensive line as well.

As the Los Angeles Rams have proven just last year, having an immediate-impact rookie class is extremely possible, as GM Les Snead may have again worked his magic and brought in more players to push this team over the edge in the 2024 NFL Season.

Re-done secondary stabilizing the backend

The secondary got a ton of new faces this offseason, and I lightly touched on them in the previous section. Tre White and Darious Williams are new faces in the secondary, but as we know, Williams had a previous tenure with the team. And funnily enough, the Rams brought in two new faces at safety who both spell their name "Kamren" with the K2 duo of Curl and Kinchens.

John Johnson III, another former LA Ram, also returns to the mix. If nothing else, this secondary is oozing depth, so the unit itself should have a much higher floor in the 2024 NFL Season. A quality secondary greatly helps out the pass rush, and the opposite is also true, so these two units can work in harmony to help the LA Rams field a competent defense in 2024, which might be the missing piece to a Super Bowl run.
