1. Stetson Bennett, QB

It's been a weird NFL career for Bennett so far. Just about every NFL analyst on the planet loved when he went to the Rams in the 4th round of the 2023 Draft. He was exactly the type of pick that people wanted Sean McVay to make: a QB that could sit and learn behind McVay and Matt Stafford for a few years, and then eventually take over when the time called for it. And Bennett's shown plenty of resilience throughout his football playing career, so it was understandable to think that he may have had enough competitive juice to find a place in the league.

And then his rookie year didn't quite go as planned. The Rams put Bennett on the reserve/non-football illness list in mid-September, and Bennett never actually saw the field that year. On top of all that, the Rams turned around and signed Jimmy Garoppolo – who was fresh off of being cut by the Raiders after a failed drug test –  to be Stafford's backup next year after he serves a two-game suspension. It stands to reason that Garoppolo will be the Rams' backup next season, which leaves Bennett out of a job. He could probably stick around as a third string guy that bounces up and down from the practice squad, but that's a tough look for a former national champion who was taken on Day 2 only a year ago. It wouldn't be surprising to see both sides decide that a change of scenery makes sense.
