The LA Rams got a lot of pleasant surprises from rookies in 2023. But look for these 3 veterans to put up career-best seasons this year.

I: WR Demarcus Robinson

It was quite obvious that the LA Rams coaching did not immediately recognize just how effective veteran wide receiver Demarcus Robinson could be in this offense. And with the nightmares of trying to field a competitive offensive attack in the absence of injured veteran WR Cooper Kupp, the coaching never gave Robinson a chance until after the Week 10 BYE.

But once Robinson got onto the football field, the same coaching staff found it impossible to get him off.

Robinson is entering his ninth NFL season and will turn 30 years old this year. By all likelihood, this season holds the likelihood of setting career-high statistics for many reasons. But the most obvious reason for his performance spike is his custom-fit in this offense.

In four starts, and in a handful of appearance in this offense, Robinson nearly set career-high numbers. Thankfully, the Rams coaching staff noticed and brought him back to integrate him as a full member of this offense for the entire 2024 NFL season.

For the record, Robinson was the most efficient receiver on the Rams roster in 2024, despite his limited use. He had a catch rate of 66.7 percent last season, best in the receiver room. Of his 39 targets, he put up 26 catches for 371 yards and four touchdowns. That works out to one touchdown in every ten passes, 14.3 yards for every catch, and 9.5 yards for every target.

Imagine a full season of Robinson lining up and churning out yards? While a 1000+ yard season is unlikely, he could easily contribute 800+ yards and 8+ touchdowns in 2024. Those types of numbers would go a long way to putting this team on the path to a high seeded position for NFL Playoffs.

Three veterans, all of whom are perfectly positioned for career high numbers, are set to start or hold key rotational roles for 2024. Based on what they've all done in 2023, this outta be good.
