He was proclaimed as a really good start to the Rams free agency. So why are so many underestimating him? Here are 4 reasons why they are wrong to do so.

While the LA Rams have yet to get to training camp, I have already begun to see signs of worry and concern about the state of the Rams receiving corps. Of course, the Rams have to shine the spotlight on their two top receivers: Veteran WR Cooper Kupp and second-year WR Puka Nacua. Depending on your confidence in Kupp remaining healthy throughout 2024, you can arguably flip them from the first and second receiver for 2024 projections.

But beyond those two standouts, who is truly the most like receiver to put up solid numbers in 2023? Did the front office slip the clutch where restocking the team's receiver room is concerned? Or has the team offensive strategy pivoted so far to other avenues of gaining yards that the team no longer requires as many talented receivers.

Or have the discussions fallen to the optical illusions of the 2023 NFL season?

The look back review of players from casual fans and bloggers can oftentimes miss significant details of the way players start and finish out the season. It's a bias when analyzing data that we seem to expect the same performance at the beginning of an NFL season, and the same rate of production at the end of the season.

The same bias often clouds our investigation when trying to interpret the performances of NFL rookies. Those first-year players start the NFL season with no professional experience. But by the time those same players suit up for their final game of the season, how can they not be wiser and more experienced? It's not uncommon for fans and even bloggers to neglect the rapid experience growing among young players.

Those types of optical illusions often fool us as we pivot from the known to the future unknown. And yet, based on the discussions and comments of Rams fans, many are not fooled into believing that this Rams roster is lacking in the receiver room. And so, let's revisit why the Rams are so confident in Demarcus Robinson for 2024, and why you should be too.
