(6) - RB Kyren Williams

If former Rams running back Boston Scott is a 'Giant killer,' then running back Kyren Williams is the Cardinal assassin. In 2023, he averaged better than 150 rushing yards against the Cardinals, and he seemed virtually unstoppable whenever the football ended up in his hands.

Right now, the Rams offense needs that type of production from the ground game.

While I'm always a big fan of a grind-it-out type of rushing attack in the offense, there are times when that type of offensive production is a must. Right now, this team is at that point. After losing Puka Nacua for what could be a rather significant amo0nt of time, we all know that the Rams default will be to throw 20+ times to veteran WR Cooper Kupp. And we know where that will lead.

The team will burn out Kupp by mid season.

So, it's not a luxury to focus on other offensive avenues right now. And for the sake of a young and as yet not cohesive offensive line, the team needs to start working at building fresh chemistry among these players in this new iteration. That way, the members become a unit quickly.

Offensive linemen love to attack, to initiate contact, to get out of the gate and maul defensive linemen and linebackers. And who better to block for than RB Kyren Williams, who may not only be one of the most dangerous offensive weapons on this roster, but perhaps in the entire NFL:

The team has to deal with the loss of Puka Nacua by redistributing the football. And with the Arizona Cardinals as their next opponent, that has to mean that RB Kyren Williams gets a steady dose of carries. Williams has in in him to take over a game, control the game clock, rest the defense, and put a lot of points up on the scoreboard.

In Week 2, the Rams need all of that, and then some.
