6 LA Rams who need to put up huge games in Week 2 vs the Arizona Cardinals

(4) - C Beaux Limmer
I loved the Rams draft as soon as the team selected OLB Jared Verse with the 19th overall pick in Round 1. But the draft truly became special when the team selected former Arkansas center Beaux Limmer with the 217th overall pick in Round 6 of the 2024 NFL Draft. Even after the selection, I could see a future starting role for the young interior offensive lineman.
Well, the future is now.
Let's be quite clear. This is not simply a blind hope that the last center on the team's active roster might prove his worth for the team. This is a culmination of hundreds of hours of work in training camp and preseason, And with each new demonstrated performance, coaches and analysts took notes and charted his progress. In my own way, I did too. And per my notations, Beaux Limmer is ready for this promotion
In fact, I'm not the only one who thinks he is ready to start.
The thing that is so special about this week's preparation as he readies to start in Week 2 is that he is getting starting repetitions at calling the blocking assignments and hiking the football to veteran quarterback Matthew Stafford. No more dress rehearsals. No more preparing for someday.
Unlike his insertion into a football game in Week 1 in the middle of the game, he is getting all of the reps and attention to ready himself for the first NFL start of his career. At this point in the season, he has time to not only show up in a big way but improve steadily throughout the season. As I had written before he ever took the field, it will be nearly impossible to sit him on the bench again now that he has had a taste of playing as the starting center for the Rams offense.
The Rams need to have a solid offensive line performance in Week 2. That hinges on the success or struggles of Beaux Limmer in his debut.
