6 players who must perform well for Rams Game 2, including Stetson Bennett

Here we are, at the cusp of another preseason game by the LA Rams. Two more preseason games until the 2024 NFL season is upon us once again. Two final chances for players to alter the course of their NFL careers, for better or worse, and either earn the right to continue competing for the team, risk being waived and re-signed to the team's practice squad, or simply being released, and hoping for a new opportunity with their next NFL team.
This is the crossroads for many players.
While rookie kicker Joshua Karty seems to have won his battle for the starting kicker position, there are many other position battles not quite decided. And even in cases where the coaching staff is 99 percent certain, there is that one percent of opportunity for players to change their minds. Right now, those are far better odds than 0 percent. So nothing is final.
There is still hope.
But hope is simply not enough to pivot from falling stock to rostered NFL player. Now is the time for the rubber to meet the pavement, to fish or cut bait, and any other number of cliche's that mean it's now or never. Players must not only show up on the football field, but need to do so consistently. And in preseason, that means that players must show up well enough to demonstrate that they not only have the skills, but the understanding of the flow of each play, and of the game around them.
Most of all, players must prove to the coaches, and a lesser extent, to the fans, that they are getting better, improving, and showing signs of growth and development. So who needs to show up well in Game 2 of the preseason for the team? We can think of six such players:
