(5) - Loser: LG Logan Bruss

Okay, perhaps I'm being a bit too nit-picky. But the guy was playing for the first time as a starting offensive lineman, and the Rams truly needed hm to deliver. In some ways, he did. In other ways, he did not. and the 'not,' part of his first NFL start on the Rams offensive line is why he is shown as a loser on this list.

Bruss was not horrific in his NFL debut. But he allowed a quarterback sack, and at times did not appear to have a solid grasp of his role. Sometimes he did. For any offensive lineman to score highly, the first step is to be consistent and dependable. Perhaps some of the inconsistent was his mid-game fingers injuries that necessitated rookie IOL Justin Dedich to play a handful of downs while his dislocated fingers were snapped back into place.

Even I admit that my threshold in this one is too low. Quite honestly, it could simply be too high expectations.

(4) - Loser: DT Bobby Brown III

The LA Rams are relying heavily upon veteran DT Bobby Brown III to deliver a host of staunch and impregnable defense in the middle of the defensive line. But in all honesty, he does not seem to be suited as the fulcrum of the defensive front. Whether he is negated by double team blocking, or he simply is not powerful enough to stand his ground, when he plays in the middle of this defense, opposing offenses seem to run all day on the Rams.

The team finally acted, reducing Brown's workload and making room for other defensive linemen to have their turn at making stops. While the results were a positive as Brown record four tackles and even got a QB hit in Week 3, he has yet to record a single tackle for a loss, and the run defense continues to struggle.

This is Bobby Brown's contract year. Whatever he has in the tank, he had better be putting on display on the football field. So far, the Rams have little incentive to re-sign Brown to a pay increase.
