(3)- Loser: DB Tre'Davious White

In three games, opposing wide receivers have scored four touchdowns against veteran defensive back Tre'Davious White. White was signed as a former All-Pro defensive back with superb pass coverage and ball hawking skills. Unfortunately, he has been nothing of the sort as of yet. He may be taking on talented wide receivers, but opposing quarterbacks are reaching astronomically high levels of success. After three games, quarterbacks have a rating of 143.1 when targeting White.

While he has broken up two passes, and allowed 10 of 15 passes to find their intended target, White is playing at the worst level of his career. In 192 defensive snaps, he has 11 tackles, no interceptions, and a very disappointing four missed tackles.

The Rmas secondary signed veteran defensive back Tre'Davious White to ensure a veteran presence in this secondary. But his performance so far has been nothing like the type of production he has put on football fields throughout his career. He has allowed the highest catch rate in his seven-year NFL career. Worse yet, he has yet to record a single interception, the first time he has failed to pick off a pass in his NFL career.

He has already allowed four touchdowns in three games, which ties his NFL career for the most touchdowns allowed in a single season. His 11.0 yards per target is nearly two times greater than at any other time of his NFL career. Opposing quarterbacks enjoy a 143.1 quarterback rating when throwing at him, which is the equivalent of an orange pylon's worth of pass coverage.

He is even missing 26.7 percent of his tackles.

The Rams secondary is rather injured right now. At some point, the team cannot continue to stick with the failed experiment that veteran DB Tre White has become. Perhaps Ahkello Witherspoon is the solution? If not, he is at least a step in the right direction. The Rams cannot allow 1.3 TDs per game from one defensive back, and have any hope of earning a playoff berth this season.
