(2) - Loser: WR Demarcus Robinson

You may believe that listing Demarcus Robinson in the loser group is more nitpicking, but out of four targets, he made just one reception. Of course, it was a fantastic 32-yard pass play, but one catch out of four passes results in an abysmal 25 percent catch and completion rates, which is not good for anyone. To be fair, we all knew going into Week 3 that the San Francisco 49ers defense would focus on Robinson, so the Rams did discover almost instantly to pivot to other receivers.

In all honestly, I'm not convinced that Demarcus Robinson has the chops to be a primary wide receiver in this offense. So far in 2024, he has merely caught seven of 15 passes thrown his way, for a disappointing 46.7 percent completion rate. While that matches other seasonal performances, he caught 59 percent of the passes thrown his way in 2024, and the belief was that he could surpass that level of production this year.

But without the presence of WRs Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua to draw the toughest coverage from opposing defenses, Robinson is not the same offensive weapon.

So far in 2024, Robinson has only hauled in seven of 15 passes (a 46.7 percent reception rate) for 124 yards and no completions. That's must less than his 2023 level of production. What's worse, as the Rams have needed to lean more heavily into Robinson, his production has fallen. He was only one of four passes for 32 yards in Week 3. While that 32-yard reception was great, a 25 percent reception rate is not good.

He will almost certainly continue to struggle until either Cooper Kupp and or Puka Nacua return to this offense. In the meantime, the Rams will need to look to either Tutu Atwell or Jordan Whittington for receiving yards.
