Braden Fiske is locked into making 2024 a season to remember for Rams fans
By Bret Stuter
His smile is infectious. His passion for football burns like a bonfire, and his willingness to put in the work to be ready for Game Day is already a known fact. But what was it about rookie defensive tackle Braden Fiske that warranted the LA Rams front office exchanging the value of a first round pick? Was this all a matter of keeping the set of OLB Jared Verse and DT Braden Fiske intact after they dominated together on the Florida State Seminoles' defensive front?
Or was there something simpler and more basic about their insistence on adding him to the Rams roster?
However you believe drove the team to trade up to the 39th overall pick to select Fiske, let go of your preconceptions. No rookie on any NFL roster is ultimately responsible for when or where in the draft process they have been selected. That responsibility is ultimately laid at the feet of the NFL team's scouting department.
Like all rookies at this time of year, all Braden Fiske can do is learn a playbook, make introductions to his teammates, and put out his best effort on the football field and in meeting rooms, hoping that it is enough to catch a coach's eye, and perhaps make a positive impression on the coaches and his teammates.
Right now, that is exactly the course that Braden Fiske is following:
And were are all here for it.
