Positions with plenty of questions

Special teams: Kicker - While the NFL Draft does not often see many placekickers named, the LA Rams may be among the few teams that do so in the 2024 NFL Draft. The Rams kickers in 2023, Christopher Dunn, Tanner Brown, Brett Maher, and Lucas Havrisik, were all sporadic and undependable for the Rams. While Maher did kick a perfect game for the Rams in the Wild Card Round, it was clear that the Rams play calling was impacted by the unreliability of making a field goal. The Rams will need to address that need, perhaps in Round 6 or 7 of the 2024 NFL Draft.

Special teams: Return specialist - The LA Rams will likely say farewell to KR/PR specialist Austin Trammell, whose contract with the team expires this season. And so, the LA Rams will need to address the role of return specialist in the 2024 NFL Draft. That need can be combined with a running back, defensive back, or wide receiver selected, or simply as a stand alone prospect.

Quarterback - The LA Rams have committed to veteran QB Matthew Stafford for the 2024 NFL season. Behind Stafford, the Rams have the uncertainty of backup QB Stetson Bennet's future, as well as young QB Dresser Winn to develop in 2024. But what of a viable backup quarterback in case Stafford is injured? If the Rams plan to address the quarterback position in the near future, 2024 is the right time to do so.
