Immediately after the 2022 NFL season, the LA Rams were immediately center stage in the public eye. LA Rams head coach Sean McVay was at the podium, discussing the uncertainty of his NFL coaching future. Why go over old videos? Curiously, the more we know now , the more events of the past make sense. Questions that formed over the course of the Rams offseason continued to form with few answers, but all tied to the same basic question. Why?

At the 5:20 mark in the video linked above, we get our answer.

And there it is. The Rams are not just tapping the brakes to pay off the debts accumulated over the years. The Rams organization is hitting the pause (not the reset) button to give LA Rams HC Sean McVay a chance to get his life back, to find the time to enjoy his new marriage and smile and laugh again, regardless of the outcome of a football game.

Let's restate all of that. LA Rams head coach Sean McVay was no longer himself. The incredibly poor performance on the football field of the team had taken more than a toll on McVay. And his friends, the same group that chipped in to help the LA Rams finally win the Lombardi Trophy for the city of Los Angeles, California, were now fighting for another championship, the quest to liberate Sean McVay from a football-focus world he had surrounded himself with
