After losing to the Detroit Lions in the Wild Card Round last month, the Los Angeles Rams will be looking to make some upgrades over the offseason.

One area where the Rams could look to add some talent is at the linebacker position, and one potential target there is Danielle Hunter of the Minnesota Vikings, as suggested by ESPN's Matt Bowen.

In a recent article, Bowen listed L.A. as the best fit for Hunter in terms of a potential landing spot. Here's what he had to say:

"The Rams have money to spend in free agency, and filling the edge rushing need should be a priority. Hunter's 16.5 sacks with the Vikings in 2023 were the fifth most in the league, and he also forced four fumbles. Adding Hunter would give the Rams a productive veteran force opposite Byron Young -- who had eight sacks as a rookie -- with Aaron Donald on the interior. That's how you upgrade a pass rush."

It would be a little weird to see Hunter in a different uniform, as he has spent his entire nine-year career in Minnesota to this point, but he could potentially be a very solid addition for the Rams if they were ultimately able to sign him.

Hunter has had double-digit sacks five separate times, including each of the past two seasons. He has also forced 11 fumbles and recovered four fumbles over the course of his career.

Despite the fact that he has nearly a decade of experience in the NFL under his belt, Hunter is still just 29 years old, so he should still have several years of solid football ahead of him. So, the Rams shouldn't necessarily be worried about diminishing returns if they were interested in inking him to a deal.

Hunter will surely have other suitors outside of L.A., so a union between the two isn't guaranteed. It would certainly make sense though, so it's something for Rams fans to keep an eye as free agency approaches.
