Falling to 0-2 for 1st time since 2011 triggers several Rams doomsday scenarios

In 2011, the LA Rams finished the season with an appalling 2-14 record that laned the team a top pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. Since that forgettable season, the Rams have never failed to win at least on of their first two gams of the new season. Until 2024, that is. Now, the Rams are in uncharted territory in terms of their past success under HC Sean McVay.

How bad is it? Not only are the LA Rams tied for the basement of the entire NFL with an 0-2 record. But the team's point differential, their margin of winning or losing, is only second to the Carolina Panthers. Even the New York Giants, Tennessee Titans, and Denver Broncos appear to be more competitive teams after two games.

And after just two games, the Rams hopeful defense is nearly the worst in the leaugue. The Rams have allowed 67 points to be scored in just two games. That is more than double the amount of points scored, 30 points, by this offense.

But don't hold your breath on hope for an offense leading the team out of the basement. This offense has scored, as just stated, 30 points in two games. which is just currently tied at 24th in the NFL after two games. But let's break that down. That is an average of 15 points per game in two games.

That is going to land the Rams at a Top 5 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

The Rams know that their offensive line is a shambles right now. The Rams defense is in chaos right now as well. This was never going to be easy. But the team showed remarkable poise in 2023 at holding things together despite adversity.

The Week 2 results comes off like a sucker punch to the jaw that the Rams never saw coming.
