Rams roster is far too lopsided to be effective right now

Entering the game, the team had five healthy WRs, four healthy RBs, and two healthy TEs (plus calling up TE Nikola Kalinic from the practice squad. By games end, the team had four healthy WRs, four healthy RBs, and let's go with three healthy TEs.

During the game, one tight end was even involved in the offense. TE Colby Parkinson caught one of two targets for 12 yards. During the game, two running backs were effectively involved in the offense. RB Kyren Williams had 16 touches during the game, and rookie RB Blake Corum showed up in garbage minutes to get eight carries. RB Ronnie Rivers was targeted once, but failed to make the catch.

The team involved all five wide receivers remaining on the roster in this offense. All five. So when Cooper Kupp fell to injury, there were no other reinforcements left to turn to.

And now there are just four healthy WRs on the roster.

This team needs to pare down their RBs and TEs, or get them more involved in the offense. The choice is binary, either/or. Right now, the team is burning through WRs far too rapidly because the roster has not adequately stockpiled enough in reserve to sustain a base three wide receiver offense.
