When fans think of the LA Rams and the Rams roster moves needed to keep the team on the straight and narrow over the course of an NFL season, the focus is typically on the big headline moves. Whether a free agency signing or a blockbuster trade, the team has a reputation and a history of shaking up the team and the NFL with those unexpected player additions that cannot be described in any way short of the front office swinging for the fences.
But for the Rams in 2024, injuries have been more than a setback. The number and rate of injuries has altered the team's entire strategy for the season. Because the team is already oversaturated in sending players to IR, the team chose not to designate WR Cooper Kupp to the IR list, opting to keep him on the active roster because he will be coming back to the team when fully healthy, but sending him to IR and with limited opportunities to return players to the active roster, another player's season would end.
And so, the Rams Injury Report must also consider their IR list as well. So we have incorporated all injuries to both teams each week per the Rams schedule.
Packers Injuries
- DT Devonte Wyatt - Ankle - Out
- WR Christian Watson - Ankle - Doubtful
- WR Romeo Doubs - NIR - Doubtful
- CB Jaire Alexander - Groin - Questionable
- LB Edgerrin Cooper - Hip - Questionable
- DT Jonathon Ford - Calf - Questionable
- G Elgton Jenkins - Knee - Questionable
- OT Jordan Morgan - Shoulder - Questionable

- DB Carrington Valentine - Ankle - Questionable
Packers Reserve Injured (IR)
- CB LJ Davis

- RB AJ DIllon
- LB Ralen Goforth
- RB Marshawn Lloyd
The Rams may get a bit of a break in Week 5, at least a minor one. The Green Bay Packers second best wide receiver, Romeo Doubs, is doubtful this week. So too is the status of backup WR Christian Watson. Combined, they have accounted for 17 of 28 catches for 249 receiving yards and a touchdown.
The Packers leading pass rusher, DT Devonte Wyatt, is out. He has chalked up 3.0 quarterback sacks, six tackles for a loss, and ten tackles this season. Wyatt has made nearly 25 percent of the Packers' quarterback sacks so far, and his absence will place significant pressure on his teammates to take up the slack.

Rams Injuries
Here are the players listed in the Rams final injury report:
- DT Larell Murchison - Foot- Out
- WR Cooper Kupp - Ankle - Out
While there is hope that Darious Williams will play in Week 5, he remains on IR/Designated to Return. The most likely scenario for Week 5 roster moves that will be the team returning Murchison to IR, restoring DB Darious Williams to the active roster, and then elevating both WR Xavier Smith and Ahkello Witherspoon to play in Week 5.
If the team frees up a roster spot in another way, the team will certainly designate by WR Cooper Kupp and DT Larrell Murchison as inactive for Week 5.
Reports indicate that both Williams and Witherspoon will have significant roles against the Packers in Week 5. But more telling is the way the Rams defense can handle the ground attack of a very talented Packers rushing offense.
